Jay Kinney was born in Rochester New York in 1957. He obtained his B.A. from the University of Texas in 1980 and his J.D. from the University of Texas in 1983. He was admitted to the bar in the state of Washington in 1984. Jay is a member of the Washington State Bar Association, the Association of Trial Lawyers of America and the Washington State Trial Lawyers Association. Mr. Kinney's practice emphasizes worker's compensation, personal injury, construction site accidents and employment law.

Jay is married with three children. "I worked my way through college and law school as a carpenter, and I still use my tools on home and community projects. I coach my kids' softball and baseball teams, camp, hunt (recurve bow) and hike when time permits."
